Wentworth Castle Gardens: Celebration Evening

As you'll know if you've read our previous posts, the Friends have been working hard on a slice of the Wentworth Castle Gardens Union Jack Garden. Our slice is in the North Union Jack, the one with smaller sections (thankfully!)

While we're not 100% finished with the garden as we were late to the party, we can now finally see the finish line. All we're waiting for are some raised beds, our roses which will be delivered for planting in November, and a large wooden cover which will serve as a shelter for one of our benches.

In the meantime, the Friends were invited to a celebration evening to officially finish the Union Jack Gardens project and celebrate the work done by every group involved. We had a tremendous evening, despite the rain, and met with some lovely groups. Every segment is lovely, and it's brilliant to see the gardens maintained again!

We're so excited to get the main elements of the garden finished, and we'll be posting our finished garden either at the end of this year, or possibly in the spring of 2025 once it's had a once-over from the winter period and everything is in bloom again.

In the meantime, take a sneaky peak at the photos below of our garden: Memento Vivere (Remember to Live).
