The Friends of Wombwell Cemetery have reached a significant milestone - we've been volunteering for a whopping 20 years this year!

In that time the group have grown from strength to strength, working tirelessly to create and maintain a cleaner, greener, safer space for the community of Wombwell and all who visit.

As with anything, the group have faced struggles and setbacks. There have been some hard times and emotional times along the way. However, we've remained strong and focused on our mission, producing some fantastic projects and hosting successful events. We've helped people wherever we can, and have formed strong friendships as a result.

We hope you'll agree that the cemetery is a welcoming and peaceful place, and we thank each and every one of the community who support us in our efforts. We couldn't have reached 20 years without you, and we can't wait to see what the future brings!
